FAQ's

Below are some of our answers to FAQ's! If you have a query and you can't find your answer here, please get in touch and we will try to help!

Where is the wedding taking place?

We are getting married in the gorgeous Wasing Park in Berkshire. In a quintessentially English setting, full of sophistication and elegance, is the lovingly restored traditional farm hamlet of Wasing. Romantic farm buildings sit alongside the 15th century Parish Church of St Nicholas, including the majestic grade II listed Castle Barn, a Granary sat proudly on its staddle stones and a fairy tale Dovecote, which are all at the heart of this award-winning barn wedding venue.

What time should I arrive?

You are welcome to join us at Wasing from 1pm onwards; please take in the views and enjoy some refreshments. Our ceremony takes place at 2pm in the glasshouse; we kindly request that all guests make their way to their seats at least 15 minutes before the start.

How far is the ceremony from the reception?

Both the ceremony and reception are being held at Wasing Park so the party can start as soon as the knot has been tied!

Is there a dress code?

We kindly ask all guests coming to the ceremony to follow a Formal or Black-Tie dress code; options include formal suits, floor length or fancy cocktail dresses or a dressy trouser suit. For those joining us to celebrate in the evening reception, a Cocktail dress code would be appreciated; options include midi to floor length dresses, casual blazers but no jeans please. Please note that the Groom and Ushers will be wearing darker blues, whilst the Bridesmaids will be wearing sage greens and terracotta, so it would be appreciated if these colours are avoided.

Can I bring a plus one with me?

As much as we would like to celebrate with everyone on our special day, we would prefer to keep our ceremony more intimate so we cannot offer any additional plus ones.

Can our kids come to the wedding?

Only those that are immediate family of the bride and groom have been invited to celebrate with us. Please take this time to relax and enjoy an evening away!

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding will take place in the gorgeous Glasshouse which is indoors, but the following celebrations will be indoors and outdoors!

Is there accommodation available?

Please check out our accommodation tab for recommended places to stay nearby. Venue lodgings will be offered to those close to the bride and groom.

How do I RSVP to the wedding?

RSVP's are currently closed. Once formal invitations have been sent out we will open RSVP's on the website and you can respond for all members in your party.

Can I bring a gift?

It is much appreciated that you would like to get us a gift for our wedding, but please do this via our registry!

Are you having an unplugged wedding?

We would be grateful if guests could refrain from using their phones during the ceremony, but please feel free to take photos during the reception!
